How to Crop Images

Learn how to crop images and ensure the cropped version appears in all exported banner sizes.

Updated this week

Cropping your images in Bannersnack is simple—and now even more useful. When you crop a photo, the cropped version is preserved across all exported designs, not the original image. This is especially helpful for digital marketers and advertisers running campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, where consistency and file size can make a big difference.

How to crop an image in Bannersnack:

  1. Select your image on the canvas.

  2. Head over to the Settings toolbar on the right-hand side.

  3. Click the “Crop” button to open the cropping interface.

  4. Adjust the crop area to focus on the most important part of your image.

  5. Click Apply to save the cropped version.

Once applied, this crop will be retained in:

  • All individual banner sizes in a set

  • All exported formats (HTML5, GIF, JPG, PNG, etc.)

  • Embed codes used for real-time ad updates

This feature helps ensure visual consistency across campaigns and reduces manual editing time—ideal for teams managing multiple banner sizes or responsive ad sets.
