How to Download Retina-Ready Designs in HTML5, AMP, Embed, or AdTag

Learn how to create Retina-ready designs in HTML5, AMP, Embed, or AdTag for crisp, high-quality visuals on any screen.

Updated over a week ago

You can download your designs in high-quality Retina-ready formats—including HTML5, AMP, embed code, and AdTag—so your creatives look stunning on Retina and high PPI displays.

Modern screens often pack twice as many pixels into the same physical space compared to traditional displays. To keep your designs crisp and sharp, content needs double the pixel density. While high-resolution displays used to be rare, they are now common across devices, making Retina-ready creatives a must-have for professional results.

To enable this feature, simply check the Save Retina-ready images option before saving your design. When you download or embed your creative, the system will automatically serve the appropriate resolution based on the user’s device.

How it works:
If your asset meets the size requirements, Bannersnack stores a higher-resolution version alongside the standard one. When a design is displayed, the platform detects the viewer’s screen type and delivers the optimal version—ensuring your visuals look pin-sharp, even on high pixel density displays.

Note: Retina-ready assets may increase the HTML5 file size by approximately 40–50%, but the visual quality is worth the trade-off.
