Resizing and Rotating Elements

Learn how to resize elements non-proportionally and rotate them at fixed angles in the editor using the Shift key.

Updated this week

When designing, you may need more control over how elements are resized or rotated. The editor makes this easy with a simple keyboard shortcut.

Resize Elements Without Maintaining Proportions

By default, resizing elements keeps their original aspect ratio. If you want to resize them non-proportionally:

  1. Select the element on your canvas.

  2. Hold down the Shift key.

  3. Drag any corner or side handle to adjust the width and height independently.

Rotate Elements at Fixed Angles

To maintain precise control when rotating elements:

  1. Select the element.

  2. Hold down the Shift key.

  3. Drag the rotation handle β€” the element will snap to fixed angles for consistent alignment.

Why This Shortcut is Useful

  • Speed: Quickly make layout adjustments without changing tool settings.

  • Precision: Perfectly align and position assets.

  • Flexibility: Achieve custom sizes and rotations for unique designs.
