Adding Music or Audio to Your Design

Learn how to add music or audio to your designs with uploads, YouTube, SoundCloud, or embeds.

Updated this week

Enhance your designs by adding music or audio tracks. You can import audio directly, use a YouTube link, or embed audio from supported third-party platforms such as SoundCloud or Vimeo.

Uploading Audio Files from Your Computer

If you are an active Plus or Team user, you can upload audio files directly into the editor.

  • Supported formats: .wav, .mp3, .ogg

  • Maximum file size: 10 MB

  • Important: Audio will only play if the design is exported as MP4 or HTML5.

Steps to upload audio:

  1. Go to Elements β†’ My Uploads and click Upload file(s).

  2. Or drag and drop the file directly from your device to the canvas.

Note: Audio cannot be selected directly from the canvas. Use the Layers panel or the Timeline tool.

  • Trim audio

  • Replace the file from your device

  • Adjust volume

  • Set to play only on RollOver

Importing Audio from Other Platforms

You can embed audio from other platforms (besides YouTube and SoundCloud) using the Add Embed option.

Restrictions:

  • Many ad platforms (e.g., Google Ads) do not allow embedded audio in ads.

  • Audio designs may not work on platforms that block scripts or autoplay features.

Browser Considerations

  • Google Chrome may mute audio by default or block designs containing autoplay audio.

  • The most reliable way to use music designs is in photo slideshows or embedded on your own website.

Technical Requirements for Audio Embeds

Designs containing YouTube videos or embedded audio require a script-enabled format to function.

  • Use HTML5 export or

  • Embed the design on your website using the provided embed code.
