Adding music or audio files to your design can be done in one of the following ways: importing audio files directly on the design, using a YouTube link, or embedding audio files from third party platforms such as YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo through an embed link.
Uploading audio files from your computer
You can now upload audio files straight on the editor if you are an active Plus and Team user.
The accepted formats are: .wav, .mp3, and .oog where the max file size is 10MB.
Also, the audio file will only work if the designs are downloaded in MP4 or HTML5 format.
To upload an audio file you can either go to Elements-My Uploads and use the Upload file(s) button or you can simply drag and drop the file on the canvas straight from your device.
For the design generator you need to use the NEW LAYER button and go to My Uploads just like on the single editor or to enter into focus mode (double click on the size you wish to edit) where you can drag and drop the audio file from your device.
Note: the audio file cannot be selected from the canvas, only from the layers panel or from the Timeline tool.
The available options for the audio file are trimming, replacing it from your computer/device, changing the volume or having it play only on RollOver.
Importing music from Youtube
To have a Youtube video as your audio source, you just need to use the Add video option from the editor and add the Youtube URL in the Settings toolbar
You can change features like autoplay, loop or default volume options so the widget is highly customizable.
Importing music from SoundCloud
Another great method is using a SoundCloud track. To do that, first, you'll need to copy the track's embed code from the SoundCloud website and if you want it to play automatically now is the time to enable that option:
Once you've copied the embed from SoundCloud, just use the Add Embed option from the editor and paste the copied embed code in the Settings tab.
You can also import music from other platforms so you're not limited to just SoundCloud or Youtube. However, keep in mind that most Ad platforms like Google ads, don't allow audio sources embedded in ads so you won't be able to use audio designs on these.
Also, Google Chrome browser is now muting the audio signal by default and might even block the actual design, so the best way of using music designsis with a photo slideshows or embedded designs on your own personal website.
*Note: Designs containing Embeds or Youtube videos will require a script enabled format to run the command that will fetch the audio file from where it is sourced and play it. Therefore this will require either an HTML5 download or sourcing the design on your website through the embed code that we provide.
