If you want to advertise your newly created designs on Facebook, it’s important to first think about why you’re advertising and what you’re aiming to achieve.
Based on the campaign type you have in mind, you can choose a dedicated design size from our list. However, if you're not 100% sure about what campaign type you're going to run we recommend using a square format design like the Instagram post (1080x1080) which is the same size template for Facebook Carousel ads. No worries, you can easily resize it later with just one click if you need too.
If you're new to Bannersnack feel free to check this guide on how to easily create and download an ad.
Creating your Facebook Campaign
If you've finished your design, jump right ahead and start the campaign on Facebook by clicking the Create-Ad button on your Facebook account
By setting yourself a few goals ahead of going live with the ads, you will have something to measure your success against, making the objective selection process crucial. So choose carefully!
Next, you need to adjust the Traffic and Budget settings and these steps are critical for the success of your Facebook Ads campaigns. The audience can be customized based on all the following demographics:
- Location, starting with a country, state, city, zip code, or address.
- Behaviors – purchase behavior or device usage
- Interests – based on a person’s interests, activity and the Pages they like
Once you’ve selected your audience, you next need to choose how much you’d like to spend on your ad setting up either a Daily or Lifetime budget.
Next, you will have to upload the actual design made with Bannersnack and currently, you can choose from 3 various formats for adverts*
- Carousel: Create an advert with 2 or more scrollable images or videos
- Single image: Create up to 6 variations of your advert using 1 image
- Collection: Create a group of items
*Please note that the formats available to you will vary based on the objective you set for your advert.
The recommended image or video specs are normally placed next to the area on the screen where you upload your content and its best to use different images and sizes for different placement options.
As a general rule of thumb, we recommend using a 1:1 Image ratio as that could be easily cropped and used for multiple placement types while using the Customize your ads by placement option. For videos, you can use .MOV or .MP4 files.
The final step is adding the landing page URL, and previewing the design. Also, keep in mind that from the Ads manager section, you can run, pause or delete any current campaign be it active or not.
