We’ll soon launch the possibility to automatically migrate your account and your assets from Bannersnack to Creatopy. 

One of your team Admins will have to initiate the migration and carefully follow each step in the journey to complete the migration process. 

If you have a team account, you can contact your Account Manager for any questions. They will also reach out with official communications about the migration. 

• How will the migration process happen?  

It will be a step-by-step guided journey that will offer you all the information you need to get your account migrated. 

To migrate to Creatopy, you have to have a Creatopy account that you can create during the migration process. If you already have an account in Creatopy, you’ll simply log in when you initiate the migration. 

During the migration, we will recommend the right subscription for you as you need to have a paid subscription in Creatopy in order to migrate. 

If you’ve already got a subscription in Creatopy, you will just log into your Creatopy account during the migration, and you’ll be good to go. 

• What will happen to my Bannersnack subscription? 

Your current subscription gets automatically canceled, so you won’t be able to access your Bannersnack account anymore once the migration is completed. The advance payments you have made for your current subscription will be used as credit for your Creatopy subscription, so nothing goes to waste. 

An important thing to note here is that your subscription date changes during the migration to Creatopy. So, if you have a monthly subscription, then your billing date changes to the migration day. If you have a yearly subscription, then the subscription start date changes to the migration day. However, your Bannersnack payment becomes credits you’ll use to pay the Creatopy subscription during the migration. 

• Why do I have to migrate from Bannersnack? 

The migration to Creatopy is necessary because Bannersnack's architecture doesn’t allow us to build further into the future. To develop more complex solutions and smarter features, we needed a new platform - and that’s how Creatopy came to life. Creatopy has all the features you’re used to in Bannersnack; it’s more reliable and allows us to build further and improve. We’re moving you to more advanced technology, more secure systems, better user experience, and a higher quality build in your best interest. 

• What happens to my workspaces? 

Workspaces in Bannersnack become projects in Creatopy. You can organize them as you wish. Everything you currently have as a workspace in Bannersnack will be migrated as a project in Creatopy, and it will contain all your creatives and assets. 

• Will I lose my creatives or assets? 

All your creatives and assets will be moved from one platform to the other smoothly. If there will be any issues during the migration, we will handle them separately. We’re backing up everything, so nothing will be lost. It’s best to contact our Customer Support team if you notice any issues during or after the migration. 

• What gets migrated? 

Everything gets migrated - your folders and files, your assets, fonts, logos - literally any type of file you have in your Bannersnack account. You can migrate your users as well - it’s up to you to decide which ones and what roles to assign them. 

• What happens to my team’s roles? 

User roles are a little different in Creatopy for the sake of simplicity. You can migrate all your users or only some. You can also invite new users to Creatopy whenever you want. 

In Creatopy, Editors are those users who can create, edit and share designs, add other people, create folders and projects. Viewers are free roles, and they can view creatives, leave comments or reply to them. Team Owners and Admins manage the account: they have access to billing info, they receive the invoices, review, accept and reject new users, set and manage user roles, and they have access to everything Viewers and Editors do. 

• Can I migrate a free Bannersnack account?

You can migrate your free Bannersnack account, but during the migration, you will have to activate a subscription in Creatopy. You can select the subscription you want during the migration. 

• What happens to my live AdTag campaigns? 

Around mid-Jan or early Feb 2022, we’ll have a solution to migrate accounts that use AdTags as well. 

What you should know is that we’ll address live AdTag campaigns differently. We’ll reach out to you if you’re currently using AdTag in Bannersnack and you have ongoing live campaigns.

You can migrate your account to Creatopy, except for the live campaigns running on Bannersnack AdTags. We’ll have to let the current campaigns run on Bannersnack AdTag until they’re finished and start all new ad campaigns on Creatopy. The creative tags can’t be migrated; each platform generates the AdTags when the campaign is set. 

Your analytics data will also still be available in Bannersnack until the end of your campaigns. We will set an end date together following your needs and your client's requests. 

• What about pricing, does the price change

The renewal date for your subscription will change during the migration process, so bear in mind that you may need to make a payment on that day. Since you are a loyal Bannersnack user, we will make sure that the price you'll pay for Creatopy is in accordance with your current plan. However, given the technological boost and increase in product functionality, it was necessary for us to align the prices with the current value served to our users.

You will get credits for the payment you already made in Bannersnack, and you will have to pay the difference for the remaining duration of your subscription in Creatopy.

For example, let’s say you have a yearly subscription in Bannersnack; your renewal date is the 15th of Nov, and you’re migrating to Creatopy in February 2022. The renewal date changes to February. The remaining 9 months of your Bannersnack subscription are deducted as credits in Creatopy, and you’ll have to pay the difference for the remaining 3 months of the yearly contract. 

• When will this migration happen? 

To ensure everything runs smoothly and we don’t affect your work, we’ll go about the migration in a few phases and migrate groups of accounts together. It will take place between December 2021 and November 2022. If you wish to get the migration done soon, fill in this form and let us know. We’ll reach out to you and schedule it together.

• When will Bannersnack sunset? 

We’re aiming to sunset Bannersnack by the end of 2022. If any unexpected issues occur, we will extend the date. The most important thing is that our customers migrate successfully and are fully operational in Creatopy, so we will assure that before letting Bannersnack go.
