Learn how to copy and paste animation effects between layers or slides using the Timeline—perfect for fast, consistent design workflows.

Updated this week

Want to save time when working with animations?

With Bannersnack’s Timeline feature, you can easily copy animation effects from one layer or slide and apply them to another—all without recreating the animation manually.

Steps to Copy Animation Effects:

  1. Open your design and go to the Timeline at the bottom of the editor.

  2. Click the colored bar assigned to the layer that contains the animation you want to reuse.

  3. In the overlay that appears, click Advanced mode.

  4. Click the Copy button.

  5. Select the target layer’s colored bar, enter Advanced mode, and click Paste to apply the animation.

A user selects an animated layer in the Timeline, opens the Advanced mode panel, clicks the Copy button, then selects a second layer, reopens Advanced mode, and clicks Paste to apply the same animation effect to the new layer.

Pro Tip: This feature works across different layers or slides in the same project, making it a great time-saver for designers managing animated HTML5 banners, social ads, or display campaigns.
