How to Create an Animated Slideshow Design

Create custom animated slideshows with transitions, autoplay, and navigation controls. Learn how to design, export, or embed your slideshow.

Updated this week

Creating a custom slideshow is a powerful way to showcase your products, services, or promotions online. Whether you're designing for a local business or running an international marketing campaign, our slideshow feature lets you easily create dynamic, engaging visuals—no coding required.

1. Choose the Right Slideshow Size

Start by selecting a format optimized for slideshows. For best visual results, we recommend using the HD (1920x1080) or SD (1024x576) slideshow sizes available in the template selector.

Pro Tip: You can also start with a blank canvas or choose from our professionally designed slideshow templates tailored for various industries and regions.

2. Add Your Content

Upload your images, type your text, insert logos, and add CTA buttons that align with your message. Our drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to personalize each slide with your brand assets.

3. Add Animation Effects

Bring your slideshow to life by inserting transitions and animations between slides. You can select from effects like:

  • Fade/Alpha

  • Blur

  • Zoom

  • Slide

  • Rotate
These transitions help create a smooth, professional visual experience.

4. Control Playback Settings

Your slideshow can autoplay (default setting), or you can add navigation buttons to allow users to move between slides manually. Assign each button a Go to Slide action to link it to a specific frame.

Pro Tip: Manual navigation is useful when you embed your slideshow on landing pages where interaction is key.

5. Save and Export

Once you're happy with your design:

  • Save it to your workspace.

  • Export it in the desired format:

    • HTML5 for web integration or ad platforms.

    • MP4 for social media platforms or video content.

    • Embed code to easily publish it on your website or blog.
